My Executive Mentor Experience
The executive mentor program has been beneficial for me in many ways. My mentor Frank Cestero has taught me many valuable lessons that I know I will appreciate in the future. Some of the most important things i have learned include dressing appropriately, eye contact, and being respectful. I was able to make friends in my group and these relationships may prove to be important connections in the near or far future. I definitely recommend the program to anyone who can participate in it because not only is it beneficial to your education as a business student but you also get some free food out of it. The most important lesson I have learned is to maintain relationships. In the business world you may need a friend at any time for any reason. I am grateful for the opportunity to have access to such a powerful tool as the program and maybe one day in my professional career i will come back to mentor.

Mentor and Mardi Gras
My mentor has taught me many valuable skills that I have starting using to my interests in progressing as a business student. This semester I learned new things but more focused on communicating in the business world. One thing I've learned is to always look presentable because you never know if you will come into contact with a current or future client. Another valid tip I've learned from my mentor is to always look a person in the eye. Looking someone in the eye when you are talking to them shows confidence and interest. One job that interests me is becoming CEO of a major company. I've always wanted to be at the top and I believe its something I could succeed in. My dad is my inspiration in becoming a CEO because he came from nothing to something big.
I am very glad that I have the opportunity to go to college in the city of Mardi Gras. I'm very excited to participate in the parades and enjoy the culture. Mostly I want to avoid getting arrested or getting in any sort of trouble. I think it will be a great time. Mardi Gras is very important to New Orleans because it brings a lot of tourists who help boost the economy. The amount of money made by private businesses in New Orleans during Mardi Gras helps the city run more efficiently throughout the year.
